Net Zero

The Wild Center in Tupper Lake NY says it has become the first cultural institution on the globe to formally commit to achieving net zero emissions.

The city of Manchester in Connecticut, located in Hartford County, will soon open a brand-new public library, replacing one that has served residents for nearly 90 years. The new library will be the first net zero energy library in the state.

The Burlington City Council held a work session Monday night to receive the annual progress report on Net Zero Energy goals. But some residents said the plan is flawed because it relies, in part, on a wood burning power plant.
