New York City Ballet Principal dancer Indiana Woodward on this season at SPAC
The full New York City Ballet company is at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, New York this week with six performances featuring the timeless works of Balanchine and Robbins, as well as the return of Merce Cunningham’s Summerspace and SPAC debuts by Jamar Roberts and Pam Tanowitz.The week kicked off with NYCB On and Off Stage and closes with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”To tell us more we are joined by dancer Indiana Woodward.

Amanda Palmer plays benefit concert for O+ on 8/13
On Saturday, August 13 at 6 p.m. at The Old Dutch Church in Kingston, New York, Amanda Palmer will play a benefit concert for O+ with special guests Holly Miranda, Chris Wells, Sophi Strand, Father Nathan Monk, and Gracie and Rachel. This is Palmers’ only major solo show this summer and her first in the United States in three years.

Shakespeare & Company presents "Hymn"
In the play, “Hymn,” now running at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, two men meet at a funeral. One knew the deceased; one did not. They form a deep bond, but cracks appear as they begin to realize that true courage comes in different forms. The new play, filled with music, asks what it takes to be a good father, brother, or son.“Hymn” by playwright Lolita Chakrabarti features performers "ranney" and Kevin Craig West and runs through August 28 at Shakespeare & Company’s Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre. We welcome the production’s director – Regge Life.
