Study Finds Disadvantaged Kids Are More Likely To Be Obese Adults

Research conducted at Cornell University found that children who grow up in disadvantaged neighborhoods are one-third more likely to be obese as adults. 

The lead author of the study is Steven Alvarado, an assistant professor of sociology at Cornell, who spoke with WAMC’s Brian Shields.
