According to a new poll, the candidate for president that New Yorkers favor the most is not even in the race. The poll by Quinnipiac University found that former vice president Joe Biden is the top choice among New York voters with a favorability rating of 62-percent.

Quinnipiac polling analyst Mary Snow spoke with WAMC’s Brian Shields about the results.

The poll also found that two New York Democrats not running for president get low ratings from the voters. Governor Andrew Cuomo has an unfavorability rating of 45 percent with 42 percent favorable for the governor who just began his third term.  New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in her first year in the House has a negative rating of 31 percent, and a positive rating of 38 percent.
