NY19 Congressman Is On A New PFAS Task Force

Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR)

New York Democratic Congressman Antonio Delgado is part of a new bipartisan congressional PFAS task force to address the toxic substances that include PFOA and PFOS.

Here’s Delgado of the 19th District:

“It’s important to make sure that the communities that have been impacted by PFOA, and specifically in Hoosick Falls and in Petersburgh, get the help that they need, whether it’s figuring out how to create a permanent, clean water supply; whether it’s making sure the remediation effort happens quicker; whether it’s making sure we can compensate for the depressed property values; whether it’s making sure we have a consistent health monitoring system,” Delgado says. “These are all the things that I’m focusing on. And I think by being a part of this bipartisan caucus, I have the ability to work with across the aisle to pursue these ends.”

Republican Peter King is the other representative from New York on the task force.
