Lamenting the roll-back on women’s rights around the world, folk singer-songwriter Dawn Landes re-imagines The Liberated Woman’s Songbook in a new album that is available today.

First published at the height of the Women’s Liberation Movement, Landes’ revision of the work is a collaboration with producer Josh Kauffman.

Sarah has worked in radio since she graduated from college in 2006. In her work with WAMC, she often interviews regional and global artists in all fields including music, theatre, film, television, and visual arts. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing. She is on the board of WAM Theatre and lives in Albany, New York with her husband, Paul, and their dog, Doritos.

This first Broadway revival since the original 2005 production, opened on November 16, 2023.Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer recently finished her run on Broadway as Delia in Beetlejuice where she received Drama Desk and Drama League nominations. A versatile and vivacious performer, Kritzer’s Lady of the Lake essentially steals the show, according to the review in The New York Times.

Hudson Hall presents “E(n)ternal Lighf: The Eternal Ecosystem Exposed” - lead by artist Ntangou Badila

“E(n)ternal Lighf: The Eternal Ecosystem Exposed” is an exhibition of original paintings by Ntangou Badila that is currently on display in the entryway galleries at Hudson Hall in Hudson, New York through April 14.The work in the collection explores the human ecosystem and the interconnectedness between nature, grief, healing, and wellness through visual art, movement, traditional healing practices, and musical performance.

"Water for Elephants" opens on Broadway 3/21 with music and lyrics by PigPen Theatre Co.

The new musical adaptation of “Water for Elephants,” based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Sara Gruen, opens at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre tomorrow night. Previews began in late February. The show is directed by Tony Award winner Jessica Stone and features a book by Rick Elice and music and lyrics by our guests - PigPen Theatre Co.

Capital Regional Language Center celebrates over 20 years of language education

Capital Region Language Center is the area's largest local world language instruction school. Over the past 20 years, the school has grown from two Spanish classes a week to a team of 30 teachers, providing instruction in 13 languages, including: American Sign Language (ASL); Arabic; Chinese; English; French; German; Japanese; Korean; Latin and Portuguese (both Brazilian and European) and Spanish. They also provide communication workshops for organizations and employers. CRLC will host a virtual information session on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
