Mohonasen Schools Going Virtual After Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

Researchers found that employing social media posts as a means of "visual nudging" to encourage safe behaviors resulted in decreased COVID-19 positivity rates of up to 25%.

A suburban school district in Schenectady County will move to all-virtual instruction until further notice after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. 

Mohonasen Central School District Superintendent Shannon Shine announced the change for grades K-12in a letter posted on the district website Thursday, the first day of classes. 

The employee who tested positive works at Mohonasen High School. 

All district schools will remain closed Friday as the state Health Department continues contact tracing. Online learning resumes Monday.
