The mayor of Hoosick Falls, a Rensselaer County village that has been dealing with contamination issues for the past year, is stepping down in a few weeks. David Borge will retire at the end of his second term.
On March 21st, village residents will choose three board members as well as a new mayor. All open seats are uncontested at this time.
Rob Allen, a Hoosick Falls High School music teacher, is running for mayor. Allen spoke with WAMC’s Southern Adirondack Bureau Chief Lucas Willard Tuesday night about his plans if elected.
