The Flames will open their inaugural season at the Glens Falls Civic Center October 11th against neighbors the Albany Devils. The teams will face off again in December.

The American Hockey League kept the Flames in the Western Division when the team moved from British Columbia to New York. Adirondack Flames President Brian Petrovek said he would like the team to play more Northeast Division teams in the future.

“It’s something we’re going to not just live with, but make the best of this year, and hopefully down the road see changes to that in subsequent seasons,” said Petrovek.

The Flames will more frequently play rivals Utica, Syracuse, and Rochester, and will also play teams never before seen at the Civic Center.
