Buffalo, NY – Governor Andrew Cuomo will be in western New York and on Long Island to visit the "New York Remembers" exhibits of artifacts from the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. WAMC's Tristan O'Neill reports...

The governor's first visit today will be the exhibit at the Rockville Centre Recreation Center in Nassau County. Then he heads to Buffalo, where he'll visit a similar exhibit at the Burchfield Penney Art Center on the Buffalo State College campus.

The exhibits are two of 30 being displayed at various venues across New York state, including museums, government buildings and college campuses.

The artifacts for the exhibits include rescue equipment, pieces of World Trade Center buildings and everyday items from New Yorkers at ground zero.

The exhibits are on display through September.
