New Paltz, NY – A Hudson Valley man was killed Thursday in a fatal crash that left one of the region's busiest highways shut down for hours. WAMC's Greg Fry reports...
New York State Police say a tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on Interstate 84 early Thursday morning crossed into the westbound lanes and struck a pick-up truck driven by James Mann of Newburgh.
Mann was later pronounced dead at a Newburgh hospital.
The tractor-trailer, driven by Marion Williams of Ohio, came to rest directly across all three lanes of westbound traffic, leading to delays that stretched for miles.
Police believe Williams may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
