Vermont Considering Extending Emergency Funding For Medicare-D

Montpelier, VT – The Federal government's much touted Medicare D prescription drug program for seniors has been rife with problems since its implementation on January first. The problems have been severe enough that many states took emergency measures to make sure people could obtain their medicines. One of the first was Vermont, and officials there believe they will have to extend emergency funding because they say there's been no movement towards a solution with the federal prescription program. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
