Tate Coleman, Chairman of the Great Barrington Public Transportation Advisory Committee

Tate Coleman – the 15-year-old Chairman of the Great Barrington Public Transportation Advisory Committee – is pushing to make public transit more efficient and responsive to Southern Berkshire County residents. The Simons Rock student tells WAMC that a forum Tuesday at the South County Berkshire Community College Center will allow locals to share feedback on efforts to modernize regional bus service.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
