Entrepreneurs To Compete In Pittsfield Pitch Contest

An event in Pittsfield, Massachusetts Tuesday will highlight local entrepreneurs.

The EforAll All Ideas Pitch Contest will see Berkshire County small businesses take to the stage and sell their concepts to an audience and a panel of judges. Kate Lauzon works for the nonprofit.

“The six that were chosen by the readers to throw their pitch, it’s like a ‘Shark Tank’ without the seeds. It’s really fun. They get two and a half minutes to explain their idea to the audience.”

The grand prize winner takes home $1,000. Other entrepreneurs will be tabling at the contest, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Berkshire Museum.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018 after working at stations including WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Berkshire County, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. You can reach him at jlandes@wamc.org with questions, tips, and/or feedback.
