Vermont State Police Seek Car That Fled Cruiser Crash

Vermont State Police investigators are looking for a car and the driver who fled a crash with a state trooper's cruiser at a U.S. Route 7 interchange in Sunderland.

The crash occurred at 6:05 Monday morning.  Trooper Ben Barton was on the northbound ramp when a southbound vehicle lost control and crossed the centerline. Barton's vehicle was struck on the driver's side rear door and fender.

The vehicle is described as a 2013 to 2015 silver or gray Subaru Cross Trek. There should be damage on the driver's side front fender and headlight assembly

It was last seen traveling south toward Bennington.

Barton was unhurt.
