Residents Near Shooting Range Say It's Too Noisy

Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department

Residents near a Vermont shooting range say it's still too noisy even after renovations.

The Hammond Cove Shooting Range in Hartland near the Connecticut River is the first fully public range in Vermont.

Some residents, including some in Plainfield, New Hampshire, across the river, have complained about noise.

Vermont Public Radio reports that the Department of Fish and Wildlife is holding an informational meeting about possible solutions to the shooting range noise problem at the Hartland Recreational Center at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 7, 2015.
