Incorporated In 1771, Windsor To Unveil Town Flag

Susan Edwards

Windsor, Massachusetts is set to unveil its newly designed town flag this Sunday. The Berkshire County town of roughly 900 was incorporated in 1771 but has not had an official town flag until now. Longtime resident and artist Susan Edwards’ design was chosen to represent the town.

“We have our colors, blue, white and green with black type and lightly-screened trees overlapping in various sizes,” Edwards said. “I wanted them to be very subtle so it wouldn’t interfere with the word ‘Windsor’ and I think I achieved that.”

The town will unveil the flag during a ceremony Sunday at 2 at Windsor Town Hall on Route 9. In January, it will take be taken to the Statehouse for display in the Great Hall of Flags.
