A New York Congressman is kicking off his re-election campaign later Saturday morning. Meanwhile, one of the debates with his opponent has been scheduled.
Democratic Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney officially launches his re-election campaign against Republican Nan Hayworth, who he defeated in 2012. The campaign kickoff begins at 11 along the Newburgh waterfront, not far from Maloney’s district office. And a debate is set between Maloney and Hayworth, Monday, October 6 at Middletown High School, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The candidate forum is being presented by the Orange County Citizens Foundation in cooperation with the Orange County Arts Council, Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Orange County Land Trust, and Orange County Partnership. The two faced off in August during a Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce forum.
