Tyler Henderson Trio

Tyler Henderson Trio
On Sunday, July 20 at 3 PM, Friends of Music of Stamford, NY presents a jazz concert by the Tyler Henderson Trio. The trio keeps the spirit of swing alive, playing popular classics with fresh twists. Bandleader Tyler Henderson originally hails from Oneonta, where he began playing piano at the age of 5, learning rock songs with the help of YouTube tutorials. He discovered jazz through the Vince Guaraldi Christmas album, and fell in love with the genre. Henderson now has a bachelor’s and master’s in jazz studies from the Juilliard School. For Sunday’s event, he will be joined by Peter Glynn, also from the Juilliard Jazz Studies Program, and Manhattan School of Music graduate Caleb Tobocman, one of New York’s most in-demand rising bass stars.
This event is generously hosted by the First Presbyterian Church at 96 Main Street, Stamford, NY. Admission is by donation at the door; the suggested donation is $15 per person, $10 for seniors & students. There is no charge for those under age 13.
