Listening to the Night: Bats at the Huyck Preserve

Listening to the Night: Bats at the Huyck Preserve

Join Craig L. Frank, Ph.D., a longtime researcher at the Huyck Preserve, for a unique experience with the bats that live at the Preserve. This event will start with a brief presentation on bat ultrasonic biology and, as the sun sets, you will observe acoustic monitoring of the bats flying over Lincoln Pond. Dr. Frank will show participants how the data collected is used to identify the bats as they visit the pond to feed.
