RTA focuses on theatre, dance, creative writing, voice, music, and visual arts as powerful tools for social and cognitive change that keeps prisoners from coming back after they're released.

Last year, Sherie Rene Scott and Dick Scanlan had a hit, Tony Nominated off-Broadway and then Broadway turn with their show, Everyday Rapture. That show being the last in a long list of stage successes for both the actress and the librettist.

Earlier this month they volunteered with Rehabilitation Through the Arts to lead a narrative monolog workshop with thirteen incarcerated men at the Woodburne Correctional Facility in Woodburne, NY. They speak with Sarah LaDuke about the experience, here.
