Sleet will continue mixing with snow, before transitioning to all sleet from 9-11 am. Total snowfall accumulations before a changeover to sleet will range from 4-8”. Expect this changeover to occur first in Upstate New York, then in the Champlain Valley. Afternoon sleet, light freezing rain and rain is all possible before precipitation dwindles late tomorrow night. Total ice accumulations will be around .1”. Highs will be in the low 30s with a breezy eastsoutheast wind 10 to 15 mph. Mostly cloudy skies tonight with freezing drizzle possible. Lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s with a light south to southwest wind.
For the Connecticut Valley and Mid and Lower Hudson Valley...
Sleet and freezing rain will continue until around 8 am, before transitioning to rain between 8 – 10 am. Another transition to rain is expected from 8 am to 10 am, with all rain after 10 am. Total ice accumulations up to .25” will be possible. Highs will be in the upper 30s with a breezy southeast wind 10-15 mph. Mostly cloudy skies tonight with some light drizzle before midnight. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s with a light south wind becoming west.
