Hartford, CT – Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano are scheduled to tour areas in East Haven that were severely damaged by Tropical Storm Irene.
More than a dozen homes on the shore of Long Island Sound in East Haven were destroyed by surf churned up by last week's storm. Many were reduced to a pile of rubble.
The tour is scheduled today. After the visit, Napolitano is scheduled to join Malloy during a conference call with agency commissioners at the emergency operation center.
