Food Friday : Spring Harvest : 5/2/14

Farmers Market
The first ever Walkway Farmers Market took place Wednesday on the Poughkeepsie side of the span. Officials also held a ribbon cutting for a new staircase that gives street-level access to the Walkway on Washington Street in Poughkeepsie.

Happy Food Friday folks! Spring has sprung, maybe? It’s time for the spring harvest—berries, rhubarb, asparagus and more!

We have two guests here today to help you navigate the farmers markets this spring and give you ideas for cooking with what you can find there. Cheryl Paff, owner of Black-Eyed Suzie’s food stand and manager of the Rhinebeck Farmers Market, and Ken Migliorelli of Migliorelli Farm in the Hudson Valley join us in the studio today.
