In the wake of criminal allegations from the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, former Bard College president Leon Botstein has formally resigned.

A former food researcher and executive, Peter Oberacker is a Republican who currently represents New York's 51st State Senate district. He's running to unseat Democrat Josh Riley in the U.S. House of Representatives.

New York State Sen. Peter Oberacker will challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Josh Riley in the 19th Congressional District this fall.
