NFL

The New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs are the NFL's only one-loss teams through the first 10 weeks of the NFL season.

Drew Brees passed Brett Favre for second place on the all-time lead for touchdown throws while he tossed three in the first half of the Saints' eighth straight win, a 51-14 rout of the Bengals. His 17-yard TD to Michael Thomas with 2 seconds left in the half gave him 509 career touchdown passes, one more than Favre.

Brees was 22 of 25 for 265 yards and no interceptions for the 8-1 Saints, with Mark Ingram catching 13 passes for 104 yards.

The Rams bounced back from last week's loss to New Orleans as Jared Goff passed for 318 yards and two touchdowns in a 36-31 victory over the Seahawks. Brandin Cooks rushed for a 9-yard touchdown with 5:49 to play on the first snap after Dante Fowler forced and recovered a fumble by Russell Wilson.

Todd Gurley rushed for 120 yards and a score as the 9-1 Rams completed a season sweep of the 4-5 Seahawks.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns as the Chiefs rolled past the Cardinals 26-14. Mahomes threw both TD passes to Tyreek Hill, the second giving the Chiefs' first-year starter a team-record 31 for the season.

Larry Fitzgerald passed Terrell Owens for No. 2 on the NFL's career receiving yardage list late in the game.

Elsewhere in the NFL:

The Patriots' six-game winning streak is over after the Titans sacked Tom Brady three times and hit him repeatedly in a 34-10 thrashing of New England. Marcus Mariota capped each of the first two drives with TD passes, and Derrick Henry ran for a pair of TDs. Ryan Succop also added two field goals as the 5-4 Titans scored a season-high in points after jumping out to a 17-3 lead in the first quarter.

Philip Rivers threw two touchdown passes and Melvin Gordon gained 165 total yards in the Chargers' sixth straight win, 20-6 over the Raiders. Gordon also turned a short pass into a 66-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive of the second half to put the 7-2 Chargers in control. He had 93 yards rushing and 72 yards receiving as Los Angeles dropped Oakland to 1-8.

The Packers rolled to a 31-12 win over the Dolphins as Aaron Jones ran for career-highs of 145 yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers was 19 of 28 for 199 yards, including two scoring strikes to Davante Adams as Green Bay improved to 4-4-1. The 4-5 Dolphins had to settle for four Jason Sanders field goals while Brock Osweiler threw for 213 yards in his fifth straight for the injured Ryan Tannehill.

Ezekiel Elliott had 151 yards rushing and provided the go-ahead, 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as the Cowboys topped the Eagles, 27-20. Dak Prescott threw for 270 yards, tossing his lone TD pass to Elliott and also running for a score to help Dallas move to 4-5. Carson Wentz threw a pair of TD passes to Zach Ertz, but his pass to Ertz on fourth down fell a yard short of a first down at the Cowboys 29 with 1:09 left.

Rookie Baker Mayfield threw a season-high three touchdown passes and rookie Nick Chubb streaked 92 yards for a TD as the Browns dumped the Falcons, 28-16 and ended a four-game skid. Mayfield completed his first 13 passes and finished 17 of 20 for 216 yards, while Chubb rumbled for 176 yards rushing. The Browns improved to 3-6-1 and ended the 4-5 Falcons' three-game winning streak.

Andrew Luck threw three touchdown passes in the first half and the Colts' defense forced a late turnover to preserve a 29-26 victory over the Jaguars. Tight end Eric Ebron had a career-high three touchdowns in the Colts' third straight win. Blake Bortles threw for 319 yards and two TDs, but the 3-6 Jaguars came up short when Kenny Moore III stripped the ball from Rashad Greene Sr. and Malik Hooker recovered for the Colts with 1:24 to go.

Alex Smith threw for 178 yards and one touchdown to lead the Redskins to a 16-3 victory over the Buccaneers. Dustin Hopkins kicked three field goals for the 6-3 Redskins, who forced four turnovers and rebounded from a lopsided loss to Atlanta despite playing with a makeshift offensive line because of mounting injuries. The Buccaneers rolled up 501 total yards but came away with just three points on five possessions inside the Washington 25.

Mitchell Trubisky threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns as the Bears knocked off the Lions 34-22 to end a 10-game losing streak against division opponents. Trubisky completed 23 of 30 passes against a short-handed secondary, while Allen Robinson caught six passes for 133 yards and two TDs after missing two games with a groin injury. Khalil Mack had two of Chicago's six sacks against Matthew Stafford, helping the NFC North leaders move to 6-3.

Matt Barkley sparked Buffalo's bumbling offense with two touchdown passes in his first start in nearly two years, including one to offensive tackle Dion Dawkins in a 41-10 dismantling of the Jets. Barkley was 15 of 25 for 232 yards while helping Buffalo snap a four-game losing streak as the Bills put up 451 yards of total offense. LeSean McCoy broke out of a season-long slump with 113 yards rushing and a pair of TD runs.

In Monday’s NFL matchup:

The New York Giants take on the San Francisco 49ers at 8:15 p.m.

NBA

The Houston Rockets were finally about to celebrate their first home victory since last season's Western Conference finals.

James Harden pumped in a season-high 40 points and the Rockets improved to 1-4 at home with a 115-103 victory against the Pacers. Chris Paul had 26 points for Houston, including a big layup that clinched the win after Indiana got within eight points with about 90 seconds left.

Harden and Paul also accounted for 13 of the Rockets' season-high 20 3-pointers, with Harden hitting eight of 18 attempts.

Victor Oladipo had a team-high 22 points for the Pacers but missed 17 of his 24 attempts.

The victory comes after Rockets general manager Daryl Morey denied a New York Times report that says Carmelo Anthony will be waived. The Rockets reached the Western Conference finals last season but are off to a disappointing 5-7 start, with many outsiders blaming Anthony for the struggles.

Checking out Sunday's other NBA action:

LeBron James closed out his 26-point performance with a game-winning dunk in the closing seconds of the Lakers' fifth win in six games, 107-106 against the Hawks. Kyle Kuzma had 18 points for Los Angeles, which is 7-3 since an 0-3 start.

The Trail Blazers won for the seventh time in eight games as Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic each had double-doubles in a 100-94 decision over the Celtics. Lillard had 19 points and 12 assists, while Nurkic added 18 points and 17 rebounds as Portland caused Boston to finish 1-4 on its five-game road trip.

Terrence Ross scored 22 points and Nikola Vucevic delivered 21 points and 14 rebounds to highlight the Magic's 115-89 pounding of the Knicks. Harlem native Mo Bamba had 15 points and eight rebounds in his first pro game at Madison Square Garden.

The rest of the Top 25 is fairly stable, especially at the top. Alabama is a unanimous No. 1, followed by Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan and Georgia. Oklahoma is sixth, ahead of West Virginia, Washington State, Ohio State and LSU. The Cougars moved ahead of the Buckeyes.

Louisville fires Petrino:

Louisville has fired head football coach Bobby Petrino with two games left in a spiraling season.

The 2-8 Cardinals have suffered five blowout losses in which they allowed at least 50 points, including Friday's 54-23 setback against Syracuse. Athletic director Vince Tyra said Sunday that he did not have the confidence Petrino could turn things around next season.

Petrino departs with a 77-35 mark in two stints with Louisville.

NASCAR

Kyle Busch has won for the eighth time this season and set up a head-to-head showdown with Kevin Harvick for NASCAR's championship.

Busch's win Sunday at ISM Raceway outside of Phoenix tied him with Harvick for most this year in the Cup Series. The two were the most dominant drivers this season and will race next week at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the title against reigning series champion Martin Truex Jr. and Joey Logano.

Harvick finished fifth to close a week in which his team was penalized for cheating. He started from the pole but had a harder day than expected because of a flat tire early in the race.

F1

Lewis Hamilton won the Brazilian Grand Prix, allowing his Mercedes team to take the constructors' title.

Hamilton started from pole position and finished less than two seconds ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen.

Hamilton had already sealed his fifth Formula One title before posting his 10th victory of the season.

PGA

Vijay Singh rallied from six shots down with his career-best round on the PGA Tour Champions, a 10-under 61 that gave him a four-shot victory in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

Meanwhile, Bernhard Langer captured the season title and the $1 million annuity for the fifth time, and the fourth in the last five years.

Scott McCarron was in position to capture the Schwab Cup for the first time, carrying the lead into the final round before carding a 72 to finish tied for third.

Kuchar ends winless skid:

Matt Kuchar ended his four-year PGA victory drought by taking the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico.

Kuchar closed with a 2-under 69 and held up after consecutive bogies cut his four-stroke lead to one with three holes remaining.

Kuchar rolled in a 3-foot par putt to win by one shot over Danny Lee, who parred the last two holes for a 65.
