NFL:

Andrew Luck was 25 of 46 for 354 yards and four touchdowns as the Indianapolis Colts won for the sixth time in seven games, ripping the New York Giants 40-24. He hit Coby Fleener for a 32-yard TD in the first half and added scoring throws of 31 yards to T.Y. Hilton, 40 yards to Reggie Wayne and 2 yards to Dwayne Allen in the third period. The Colts are 6-3 following Luck's franchise-record seventh consecutive 300-yard passing game.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is out indefinitely with a broken clavicle suffered in Sunday's win over Houston. Foles was replaced by Mark Sanchez after being injured on a sack. Sanchez will make his first start in 23 months under the prime-time lights next Monday night against Carolina.

NBA:

In the NBA, Brooklyn trumped Oklahoma City 116-85, Dallas won against Boston 118-113, Houston topped Philadelphia 104-93, Memphis bested New Orleans 93-81, Sacramento defeated Denver 110-105, and it was the Clippers over Utah 107-101.

NHL:

The St. Louis Blues stretched their winning streak to five with a 4-3 victory over the New York Rangers last night. The Rangers lost at home in a shootout for the second straight game, following a 1-0 defeat against Winnipeg on Saturday. They are 4-1-2 in their past seven games.

MLB:

The Chicago Cubs have introduced Joe Maddon as their fifth manager since the start of the 2010 season, giving him a five-year, $25 million contract to replace Rick Renteria (rehn-tuh-REE'-uh). The 60-year-old Maddon had a 754-705 record in nine seasons in Tampa Bay, leading the club to four playoff appearances, two AL East titles and a five-game loss to Philadelphia in the 2008 World Series. The Cubs had planned to bring back Renteria until Maddon opted out of his contract with the Rays last month.

The Minnesota Twins have officially hired Paul Molitor as manager. They signed the Hall of Fame infielder and Minnesota native a three-year contract with a team coming off four straight seasons of 92 or more losses.

Aramis Ramirez is staying with the Brewers after accepting his half of the $14 million mutual option in his contract. Ramirez hit .285 with 15 homers and 66 RBIs in 133 games for Milwaukee last season.

The Tampa Bay Rays have exercised a $2.5 million club option on reliever Joel Peralta for next season. Peralta was 3-4 with a 4.41 ERA in 2014, when he was second on the Rays staff with 69 appearances.

Alan Trammell is returning to the Detroit Tigers as a special assistant to team president Dave Dombrowski.
