New York’s North Country is among the five regions approved to move into Phase Three of reopening on Friday.
Phase Three allows indoor restaurants and non-hair-related personal care businesses such as tattoo parlors, massage therapy, and tanning spas to resume subject to specific guidelines.
Plattsburgh Mayor Colin Read notes there hasn’t been a positive COVID-19 case in Clinton County since June 1st. “We’re doing very very well up here in this area and that’s what allowed us to be one of only half the regions that was allowed to go to Phase Three.”
Central New York, the Finger Lakes, the Mohawk Valley, and the Southern Tier also enter phase three of reopening Friday.
