Coronavirus Hits Western Massachusetts Farm Economy

CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture) will start taking applications for emergency loans starting April 1st. The organization is looking to raise $50,000 by then for its Emergency Farm Fund.

    The coronavirus pandemic has impacted agriculture.

     Farms have lost big customers as restaurants, colleges, and winter farmers’ markets have closed.

    In western Massachusetts, CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture) has announced it will reopen in April its Emergency Farm Fund.
