The Democrat who lost the 2018 election to Republican Elise Stefanik of New York’s 21st Congressional district is looking for a rematch.
Tedra Cobb won a multi-candidate Democratic primary to challenge Republican Elise Stefanik, who won a third term. During her concession speech in November, Cobb promised she would run again in 2020.

The former St. Lawrence County legislator formally announced her campaign Monday morning.  “The issues remain the same.  We’re worried about our children and education. We’re worried about our environment. And of course you know for me health care has always been a priority.”

The Stefanik campaign released a new “Taxin’ Tedra” campaign ad within hours of Cobb’s official announcement.

Former cable host Dylan Ratigan, who finished third in the 2018 Democratic primary, told WAMC News Monday he wouldn't run this time and said he had no opinion on any of the others.
