The busy summer racing season is underway in Saratoga Springs. Thursday marked opening day at Saratoga Race Course as thousands of visitors flock to the Spa City.

It’s also the first summer tourism season for City Public Safety Commissioner Jim Montagnino. The Democrat sat down with WAMC's Southern Adirondack Bureau Chief Lucas Willard at city hall Thursday morning to discuss what he predicts will be a vibrant summer and more.
