New York Governor Andrew Cuomo marked the opening of a “pop-up” distribution center in the Hudson Valley today, after GAP’s roughly 1 million square-foot facility in Fishkill was destroyed in an August fire.
“Every employee has been saved,” Cuomo said. “Twelve-hundred people are working at GAP which was the original plan. Black Friday is on the way – the high point of the business.”
The state granted GAP $2.65 million after the fire. Authorities say it was intentionally set.
