Two new designs for a controversial Saratoga Springs parking garage project have been submitted.

The request for proposals for a new parking garage in crowded downtown Saratoga was answered by two designs that feature parking for at least 600 vehicles, retail, and residential space.

Mayor Joanne Yepsen says the city council will review the $77 and $90 million projects.

"We're going to conduct over the next couple of weeks a thorough review of both proposals and hope they thoroughly address the needs of the City Center and the city."

The Saratoga Springs City Center Authority is planning to build a $10 million standalone parking structure on the same parcel.
