Cuomo And His NY Staffers Help Out On Thanksgiving

Office of Governor Andrew Cuomo

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo joined volunteers in serving thousands of Thanksgiving meals in Albany, while high-ranking members of his administration volunteered at holiday community events from Manhattan to Buffalo.

Cuomo and his three daughters were at the Empire State Plaza's Concourse Cafeteria Thursday to join the volunteers at the annual Equinox Thanksgiving Day community dinner. Started in the early 1970s, the event serves more than 10,000 Thanksgiving meals to homebound or homeless people in Albany.

Meanwhile, members of Cuomo's administration took part in volunteer efforts across the state. Agency commissioners and the heads of other state offices helped serve meals Thanksgiving morning in Binghamton, Syracuse, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Other state officials volunteered at community events Thursday afternoon in Troy, Glens Falls and Buffalo.
