Albany, NY – The president of the State University of New York Research Foundation, accused of giving a no-show job to the daughter of former Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, says he is
taking a voluntary leave. WAMC's Ian Pickus reports...

SUNY Foundation President John O'Connor, who rose to interim chancellor of SUNY two years ago, says he's taking a leave of undetermined length. He says he will work to clear his name.

The state Commission on Public Integrity has found there's reasonable cause to believe that O'Connor committed ethics violations by continuing to employ the daughter of Bruno in a no-show job. The commission says Susan Bruno did little work and seldom came to the office.
