The Pittsfield Public School System has added a new location where children can to pick up food while schools are closed.

Pittsfield Director of Administrative Services Roberta McCulloch-Dews says the Berkshire Peak Apartments, at 341 West Street, have joined the list of locations where the city’s young people can get breakfast and lunch during the coronavirus-related closure.

“We have the Boys & Girls of the Berkshires as one of our meal partners, and then our additional meal partners include the Berkshire Family YMCA, the Dower Square Housing Village, Conte Community School, Morningside Community School, the Brattlebrook Apartments,” said McCulloch-Dews.

The Gladys Brigham Center at 165 East Street is also a meal site. Meals will be available between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Schools in Massachusetts remain closed through April 7th in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
