The largest community in the Berkshires is bracing for this weekend’s heat wave.

Pittsfield, Massachusetts has prepared cooling stations for city residents with forecasts calling for highs in the 90s.

“The senior center at 330 North Street will be open from noon to fo4 ur on Saturday and Sunday, and those hours of operation may be extended based on the number of residents that are there to get a break from the heat," said Director of Public Health Gina Armstrong.

Drinks, snacks, air conditioning, and medical professionals will be available at the stations. There’s more information on other cooling stations open throughout the weekend by clicking here.
