A Vermont manufacturer of military and police protective gear produced the bullet-resistant helmet credited with saving an officer's life during the deadly attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando earlier this month.
Revision confirmed that a barcode inside an officer's helmet traced the equipment back to the company's plant in Newport.

A photo from the Orlando Police Department shows Officer Michael Napolitano's helmet badly damaged by a bullet. The department says the helmet saved the officer's life.

New England Cable News reports that U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy plans to thank the worker who molded the helmet and pass on his appreciation to all the Revision employees in a phone call to the facility.

Revision says its team is grateful to have helped.
