The Great Barrington-based Community Health Programs has hired an interim CEO. The move follows the resignation of CHP’s former leader after complaints were lodged against the organization’s leadership.Lia Spiliotes is a partner of the Boston-based Cambridge Management Group who has stepped into interim roles with other federally qualified health centers during leadership transition. In November, Bryan Ayars announced he would resign after months of consideration about CHP’s future. The move came amid claims that patient care could be compromised due to concerns over leadership and a strained work environment. CHP began working with CMG in 2014. Spiliotes says she hasn’t seen patient care being negatively impacted and doesn’t feel the need to put any controversy to rest.

“The bits and pieces that I’ve been able to put together lead me to believe that they’re doing a great job,” Spiliotes said. “I’m personally going to be going and visiting the sites in this next couple of few weeks but also on a continuing basis I think it’s important to really be in there at the practice sites.”

A former employee also filed a discrimination complaint against Ayars and CHP.
