Amid String Of Data Breaches, Talk At Berkshire Community College Focuses On Cybersecurity

Dr. Larry Snyder will be giving a lecture on cybersecurity at Berkshire Community College Saturday.

Cybersecurity is a growing educational and professional field as well as an increasing concern for governments, companies and individuals who store or disclose sensitive information online. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is hosting a talk at Berkshire Community College Saturday focused on how people can protect their information online. The speaker is Dr. Larry Snyder, the director of Bay Path University’s cybersecurity program in Springfield. Snyder has nearly three decades of experience in law enforcement, fraud and auditing with the U.S. Army and a variety of industries. Snyder spoke with WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief Jim Levulis about cybersecurity and online threats.The lecture will be held at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
