Ebola Advisory Sent To Connecticut State Employees

wikipedia.org

Connecticut state employees are being asked to avoid nonessential travel to countries experiencing outbreaks of Ebola. An advisory was sent on Monday to all state agencies. In an alert sent to Department of Transportation employees, workers were urged to avoid nonessential travel to Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia — countries designated with a Level 3 warning. Workers who've visited Level 2 countries, including Republic of the Congo, are urged to practice enhanced travel precautions.

Employees who've visited Level 2 and 3 countries must follow protocols issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including monitoring their health for 21 days if they were in an area with an Ebola outbreak, and taking their temperature.

Monday's advisory stems from an Ebola command team recently created by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
