SUNY New Paltz Student Tests Positive For COVID-19
A student at SUNY New Paltz has tested positive for COVID-19.
The college learned on Wednesday that an on-campus resident student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student had taken a voluntary, on-campus test last week. Both the student and roommate are in quarantine. SUNY New Paltz, where classes began Monday, will continue reporting new positive cases of COVID-19 to community members through the Daily Digest e-newsletter. And it has developed a COVID-19 dashboard to provide real-time updates on positive cases. SUNY New Paltz will institute mandatory COVID-19 testing for students beginning August 31.
