A state assemblyman and the Orange County district attorney are holding a roundtable Tuesday evening about the opioid epidemic.

Republican Assemblyman Colin Schmitt and Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler will talk about the state of the heroin and opioid crisis in the Hudson Valley and evaluate community-based and legislative actions that could help in further combating the epidemic. Schmitt and Hoovler expect to hear from those who have been involved in the crisis over the last few years, from non-profit groups to people recovering from opioid addiction to first responders. The discussion begins at 6 p.m. at the Woodbury Senior Center in Highland Mills.
