Construction Begins On An Affordable Senior Housing Complex In Rockland

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced the start of construction on an affordable housing development in Rockland County.

The $42 million affordable housing development for seniors is called Vincent's Village and is in the Village of Nanuet. The development will include 93 apartments across three buildings with on-site health and wellness services to help seniors live independently. There will be 81 one-bedroom apartments and 12 two-bedroom apartments. The development complex on Convent Road will have two additional buildings with community facilities including a fitness room, computer room and support services, such as health monitoring and social activities, provided by the Sisters of Charity Housing Development Corporation.
