New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Wednesday announced that 22 properties have been recommended to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. Four are in the Hudson Valley.

The New York State Board for Historic Preservation recommended the properties. One is in Dutchess County — the 1889 Standfordville Station in Stanfordville, the last of the three stations built for the short-lived Poughkeepsie and Connecticut Railroad. In Westchester County, St. John’s Episcopal Church in Pleasantville is recommended. Built in 1912, it’s a late Gothic Revival-style church. Two properties in Rockland County are recommended — the Blauvelt-Cropsey Farm in Clarkstown and the John Green House, built around 1819, in Nyack. State and National Registers listing can assist property owners in revitalizing buildings, making them eligible for various public preservation programs and services, such as grants and certain tax credits.
