Governor Andrew Cuomo Wednesday announced the recommendation of 19 properties to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. Five are in the Hudson Valley.

In Dutchess County, the 1910 Attlebury Schoolhouse in Stanford is on the list, as is Bodine’s Tavern in Montgomery in Orange County. Sullivan County’s Callicoon Downtown Historic District is recommended along with the1870 Fitch Brothers Bluestone Company Office in Kingston, in Ulster County. The fifth Hudson Valley site on the list is the New York, Westchester & Boston Railway Highbrook Avenue Bridge in Pelham, completed in 1911. Once the recommendations are approved by the state historic preservation officer, the properties are listed on the New York State Register of Historic Places and then nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. Once approved, they are entered on the National Register.
