An historic general store and tourist attraction in New Hampshire has closed.
Brick Store in Bath, built sometime in the late 1700s or early 1800s, closed after several years of financial hardship.

The Caledonian Record reports  that store owners Mike and Nancy Lusby wrote on the store's Facebook page last month that it was no longer economically feasible to stay open in the winter and planned to close and reopen on May 15.

But they decided to close permanently after consulting with financial advisors. The 20-month closure of the Bath Covered Bridge, a tourist draw that sits behind the store, was among factors that led to their decision.

The store is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
