Youth Dance Class: Earth Movement with Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company

As David Smith took inspiration from the natural world that surrounded his home and studio in Bolton Landing, participants will be inspired by David Smith’s iconic sculptures. Working with dance educators from the celebrated Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company of the Capitol Region, youth dancers will develop an original choreographed dance to be performed at The Hyde Collection’s Community Day (Aug 6) and prior to the SPAC premiere of John Luther Adams "Vespers of the Blessed Earth” by the Philadelphia Orchestra at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (Aug 12), as part of the 2023 festival theme EARTH. This workshop is recommended for youth ages 12-16 with some prior dance experience.
