‘REQUIEM: What Remains is Love’ by Maria Riccio Bryce

‘REQUIEM: What Remains is Love’ by Maria Riccio Bryce

Capital District Composer/ Lyricist Maria Riccio Bryce, known for her ability to transform the concepts of loss and reclamation into deeply personal musical experiences, will present her acclaimed choral work,
‘REQUIEM: What Remains is Love,’ on Sunday, November 2, at 7 PM, at St.Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Schenectady.

Her Requiem melds settings of parts of the traditional Requiem Mass with original songs about life, death, and the mystery of what lies beyond.

Sung by a chorus of 35 magnificent voices, the performance will be accompanied by the Musicians of Ma’alwyck, with Maria conducting from the piano.

The Requiem premiered triumphantly at St. Luke’s in 2022, and continues to build a following throughout the Capital District. It is a musical journey that transcends denomination, and speaks to the heart of our shared humanity.

‘REQUIEM: What Remains is Love’ honors the faith, mourns the losses, and sings the glory of invincible love. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a unique and unforgettable masterpiece, as the autumn leaves descend, and we draw closer together …and remember.
