Fall tree ID trek

Fall tree ID trek
Ever wondered about the trees alongside the trail? Looking to expand your tree identification skills? This trek is for you!
Tom O’Dowd will teach participants to identify trees during winter by their twigs, buds, bark, and even smell.
What to expect: We will walk up to two miles along Hickory Lane, the Dogwood Trail, and the Meadow Connector. These trails are forested, packed earth with some exposed roots. We will be stopping often to discuss the trees we see. Bench seating is available along the trail. Learn more about the trail here.
What to bring: Please bring water and wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Bringing a way to take notes (e.g., a smartphone, camera, or notebook) is recommended for this program! Social, leashed dogs are welcome, but please bring a bag for waste.
